This provides up to $2,522 for public and $7,457 for private, nonprofit universities. It’s intended for those residing in rural, coal-producing counties, including Henderson, Webster, Muhlenberg, Pulaski, Pike, Magoffin, and more. To be eligible, you must be a United States citizen and permanent Kentucky resident, have earned at least 60 credits in higher education, pursue their first bachelor’s degree at least half-time, and demonstrate financial need. This is available to members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) who are residents of one of the following states: Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or Wisconsin. This is available for high school seniors who are members of the Future Farmers of America planning to pursue a four-year degree in food science and technology and who have work-related experience in agriculture. This gives three awards: Local, $100 to $200; state, $500; national, up to $5,000. To be eligible, you must submit a 800- to 1,200-word essay that includes a title page, essay pages, bibliography page and applicant’s biography page. The essay must be typed using 12 point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, on letter-sized paper with 1-inch margins, have no graphics and pages numbered starting with 1. This is for first-time and first year students at KSU that have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 and a minimum ACT score of 25. This covers full in-state or out of state tuition and mandatory fees. To get this renewed, you must maintain a 3.5 GPA and provide 50 hours of community service. The deadline for applications is January 15th. Apply here.
This ranges from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. Applicants must be a female U.S. citizen, national or legal permanent resident of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity (as defined by the U.S. Census) who is from Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Wisconsin, and will be enrolling in an accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year. To be eligible, you need to be a resident of kentucky. You must also be a junior, senior, or graduate student and plan to attend a Kentucky university with an accredited program. Must be a senior who attends high school or lives in Calloway, Daviess, Franklin, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, Jefferson, McCracken, McLean, Warren or Webster County, in addition to criteria listed under specific scholarships. This is open to students from schools in Kentucky who have a passion for using technology skills to make a positive social change in the world or at home in their communities. In order to be considered for this scholarship, an applicant must currently be attending a rural high school as a senior in the state of Kentucky and be an active member of their school’s STLP. This $2,500 renewable scholarship is awarded to high school seniors attending Woodford County High School and Fayette County Public Schools who demonstrate significant financial need. This was established to honor William J. Elliott, a chemistry and physics teacher at Highlands High School for 32 years. This non-renewable merit-based scholarship provides an annual award of $2,000 to a graduating senior from Highlands High School who demonstrates excellent academic achievement and who plans to pursue a degree in science, technology, engineering, math or pre-medicine. This grants at least $1,000 to graduating high school seniors residing in Kentucky’s Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup, and Lawrence counties. Successful candidates must be accepted at participating four-year colleges like the University of Kentucky, pursue majors in the sciences, display strong academic merit, possess unmet financial need, and attach a counselor’s recommendation. This will award county and state college scholarships to high school seniors for the current school year. To be eligible, applicants must be the child of a Kentucky Farm Bureau member and remain such while the scholarship is in force and finish high school within the year they apply for the scholarship and attend college. This offers a scholarship of $1,500 to an ESL/LEP student graduating from a Kentucky high school based on the availability of funding. The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a deserving student in pursuing a post-high school education. To be eligible, students must have been enrolled in ESL class(es) during middle or high school years, are graduating senior at a Kentucky high school, and have a 2.5 GPA or higher. Eligible applicants must reside in Kentucky, be completing a college-prep curriculum, be accepted at an accredited U.S. institution, maintain a cumulative GPA above 3.0, and demonstrate active community service. To be considered, you must be a graduating senior at Wolfe County High School, intend to enroll full-time at accredited Kentucky colleges, and choose a STEM career, such as geology, physics, computer science, or statistics. This awards seven $20,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Greater Cincinnati, including Kentucky’s Boone, Campbell, Grant, Gallatin, Kenton, and Pendleton counties. Each year, $5,000 is divided equally among five recipients who are pursuing collegiate education. Preference is given to students interested in law enforcement or the legal dependents of police officers. Applicants must reside in Kentucky as high school seniors, be accepted into an accredited college or vocational school, maintain a minimum “C” average (GPA of 2.0), and exhibit good citizenship and leadership ability. This is pleased to award an $1,000 scholarship to the applicant who most embodies excitement for the use of Intelligent Transportation Systems to improve safety and efficiency. The scholarship criteria looks for excellence in the classroom, passion for innovation, and enthusiasm for the transportation industry. is open to collegiate sophomores, juniors, and seniors planning to enter the transportation field with a primary focus of interest in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Applicants must be enrolled full time as a high school senior in Kentucky, plan to enter a college in the U.S. no later than the fall following graduation, demonstrate a strong commitment to pursuing and completing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States, demonstrate financial need, be involved in co curricular and community service activities, demonstrate integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen and resident of Kentucky. This provides two $2,500 awards. One male and one female incoming freshman from Kentucky who’ll be the first in their immediate family to attend college are selected annually. Applicants must also plan to attend a two- or four-year college in the United States. They must have also obtained a minimum ACT reading score of 20. Read more here.
This is a $12,000 college tuition scholarship fund for high school seniors in Louisville, Kentucky who demonstrate high standards of scholarship, citizenship, and leadership. Applicants must have attended a JCPS high school, have a cumulative (weighted) GPA of 3.2 or higher, and an ACT score of 25 or higher, or an SAT score of 1200 or higher (Critical Reading and Math scores combined). This is an academic award by the University of Kentucky. This provides two scholarships one for $2,500 and the other for $5,000.
