January
Offers scholarships to support LGBTQ+ and allied students living in the Northwest. Students must either be residents of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington (but may study anywhere) or be attending school in one of those five states. Applicants must also be pursuing a post-secondary education of any kind. Awards students $7,500 per year to those that show leadership, community service, and financial need. Applicants must be graduating high school, intend to enroll into a four year college/university, display the qualities above, and have a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 22. This scholarship is for $5,000. This has provided need-based college scholarships and educational experiences to cancer survivors from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska. Applicants must have received a cancer diagnosis at any point in the past, plan to attend a U.S. college or graduate school, and have a family income of less than $150,000 per year. This scholarship is for $500. This is awarded to an Idaho High School Senior who is planning to attend any college or university in Idaho. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA, and should plan on pursuing degrees in fish and aquatic studies. The deadline is January 31st. Website found here.
This scholarship is for $1,500. This is awarded annually to an undergraduate student attending any school in Idaho. This is intended to continue the Idaho Chapter’s legacy of fostering the development of fish and aquatic professionals. The deadline to apply is January 31st. Apply here.
February
This is a merit-based scholarship offered to students attending Boise State University. It is worth $2,000 per year and can be renewed for all four years that a student attends Boise State. To be eligible, they must also have scored at 25 on the ACT or and 1130 on the SAT. A 3.3 GPA in high school is also necessary to receive this award. Students must also turn in FAFSA by February 15th to be eligible for this scholarship. Learn more here
CFEO Education Career Scholarship is for $1,000. This is open to graduating seniors of Caldwell high school who have a 3.5 GPA. Students must plan on majoring in teaching and education. The deadline to apply is February 26th. More details here.
NATAS Northwest Chapter has awarded over 100 scholarships and over $200,000 to aspiring television professionals sharpening their storytelling skills at universities in their five-state region of Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Alaska. The scholarship award is up to a maximum of a $3,500 cash grant. The deadline is February 26th. Read more here.

William Hunt Professional Development Scholarship is only available to students in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and Montana. The award is worth $1,000. The scholarship is geared towards high school students from these states that are looking to study in the tourism industry while having at least two years of experience in the travel industry. This is for $2,500 per year and is renewable. This is given to outstanding students graduating from Emmett High School. Eligible applicants must: be a graduating Emmett High School senior or have graduated within the last seven years from Emmett High School; have a 2.6 GPA; demonstrate financial need; and, be enrolled as a full-time academic student at Boise State University, Idaho State University, Lewis-Clark State College, or the University of Idaho. Provides a waiver of tuition and fees plus up to $500 per semester for books in addition to on-campus housing and subsistence to Idaho undergraduate students who are the children or spouses of military members or public safety officers. To be eligible, you must be an Idaho resident, a graduate from an Idaho high school or its equivalent (GED from Idaho), and enroll as a student in an academic or professional-technical program at North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State College, College of Southern Idaho, College of Eastern Idaho, University of Idaho, Boise State University, Idaho State University or College of Western Idaho. Students must major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, or another chemistry-related science and plan to pursue a career in a chemistry-related science as well. Grants African American/Black students passionate for technology various awards ranging from a one time award of 2,500 to a $5,000 renewable award. Applicants must identify as African American/Black, be a graduating senior within the U.S, intend to enroll in a college/university and study the majors listed, have obtained a minimum GPA of 3.3, and display qualities of leadership and financial need. This scholarship is for $500. This helps college-bound high school seniors afford tuition at Idaho institutions. To be eligible, you must be a U.S. citizen who’s lived in Idaho for at least one year, have a verified medical diagnosis of epilepsy, enroll full-time with 12+ credits at accredited colleges, and show perseverance in overcoming seizure disorder challenges. This scholarship is for hearing impaired students residing in Ada County, Idaho to further their education and support long term independence. The Hearing Scholarships support advanced education in a four year college program or a technical school. The amount varies and the deadline is April 1st. More info. here.
This is open to Idaho residents that have graduated from an accredited Idaho public or private high school, or equivalent. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher during the last two years of school and enroll as a full-time student. Applicants must be in any career technical program including at least nine months of consecutive attendance and leading to an initial degree or technical certificate. This is for $1,500. This is a regional art competition that challenges high school students to create works inspired by their state. To be considered, students must be in a school in Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming. Community Council of Idaho Hispanic Scholarship is a one time $1,000 award that is given to nine deserving, low-income high school students or first time collegiate bound Idahoans. Applicants must be residents of Idaho, be of Hispanic origin, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, pursue an academic major and be enrolling as a college freshman in the fall of the year the award is offered. Sara Scholarship awards female students $2,500 to those that are involved with golf. Applicants must identify as female, be a graduating senior, enroll into a college/university, have obtained a minimum GPA of 3.3, and display financial need. The deadline to apply is April 30th. More details here.

This was set up to serve graduating students with a minimum 2.5 GPA from accredited Idaho high schools in the Magic Valley, including Blaine, Camas, Cassia, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka and Twin Falls counties. This is given to applicants pursuing a four-year degree in general agriculture, agricultural business management, agricultural engineering, agriculture power and equipment or soil or water conservation with preference to those specializing in irrigation and soil technology. ISBA Scholarship Program is for $1,000. To be eligible, students must enroll at an Idaho college/university full-time, have a 2.0 or higher GPA in the first two years of school and a 2.5 or higher GPA in the final two years, exhibit potential to study broadcasting. This is a merit based scholarship for up to $66,400. This is given to incoming freshmen who are non-resident applicants to the University of New Mexico. Applicants must be from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wyoming.
